Watchlists
Resonant Fringe tracks three Kavout AI watchlists. Each one serves a different purpose in the community's market signal layer.
Infrastructure Watchlist
Companies the community depends on daily for core tooling and platform delivery. These are not endorsements. Several of these companies represent dependencies the community uses but is not philosophically aligned with. Tracking them is about understanding the environment, not advocating for it.
Microsoft (MSFT) Owns VS Code (primary development environment) and GitHub (version control and collaboration). Deepest AI investment in the industry through its OpenAI partnership. Signals from MSFT affect how the community writes code, manages repositories, and accesses AI models through the OpenAI API.
Alphabet (GOOGL) Owns Chrome and the Chrome Web Store, which is the literal distribution layer for the ResonantOS extension. The community's core product ships through Google's platform. Any change to Chrome extension policies, Manifest V3 enforcement, or Web Store terms directly affects how ResonantOS reaches users.
NVIDIA (NVDA) Manufactures the GPUs powering every AI model the community uses or runs locally. The CUDA software ecosystem creates deep lock-in at the hardware level. Signals from NVDA affect GPU pricing, availability, and the economics of running local AI inference through tools like Ollama and Hermes versus paying for cloud-hosted alternatives.
Zoom (ZM) The daily call platform the community meets on. Less volatile than the other infrastructure tickers but worth tracking for AI integration announcements and platform strategy shifts that affect how distributed teams collaborate.
Ecosystem Watchlist
Market signals affecting the tools, platforms, and AI infrastructure the community builds toward. These companies are public proxies for markets where many of the community's actual tools (n8n, Supabase, Ollama) are private and not trackable through financial data.
Palantir Technologies (PLTR) Closest public proxy for enterprise AI deployment patterns. Tracks how fast enterprises are adopting AI platforms and whether that adoption is consolidating around proprietary systems or leaving room for open-source alternatives. The AIP Bootcamp model and Ontology platform are signals for how sticky proprietary AI middleware becomes once adopted.
UiPath (PATH) Public proxy for the workflow automation market where n8n operates. Tracks enterprise demand for automation tooling, competitive dynamics between proprietary and open-source automation platforms, and market signals about whether workflow automation is consolidating or fragmenting.
Monday.com (MNDY) Tracks the project management and workflow tools market. Signals from MNDY reflect how teams organize work, adopt AI-assisted project management, and choose between integrated platforms and modular open-source alternatives.
MongoDB (MDB) Tracks the developer database infrastructure market. Public proxy for the broader data layer where Supabase and PostgreSQL compete. Signals from MDB reflect developer adoption patterns, pricing trends, and strategic shifts in how database companies position against open-source alternatives.
Snowflake (SNOW) Tracks enterprise data infrastructure trends. Signals from SNOW reflect how large organizations manage, store, and analyze data at scale, which affects the competitive landscape for the decentralized and local-first data approaches this community values.
Crypto Bridge Watchlist
Public equities bridging crypto, blockchain, and decentralized infrastructure signals to the community's values around data sovereignty and decentralization. These tickers are not on a fixed rotation. They get pulled into a brief when their signals connect to something surfaced by the Infrastructure or Ecosystem watchlists.
Coinbase (COIN) Most direct public proxy for crypto market health and developer infrastructure. Coinbase runs a developer platform with cloud and wallet APIs that overlap with the tooling this community builds with. Folds into briefs when browser extension, Web3 infrastructure, or decentralized finance signals surface.
Marathon Digital (MARA) Bitcoin mining company currently pivoting toward AI and high-performance computing infrastructure. Tracks GPU compute economics from the mining side, which connects to NVDA signals about GPU supply, pricing, and availability for non-hyperscale buyers. Also signals how strong the gravitational pull of centralized AI infrastructure is when a crypto mining company restructures its entire business to chase AI data center demand.
Strategy (MSTR), formerly MicroStrategy Tracks Bitcoin as a treasury asset and institutional crypto adoption signals. Folds into briefs when broader enterprise technology investment patterns surface through the MSFT pairing, connecting institutional crypto positioning to the technology investment landscape.
Rotation Schedule
Briefs pair one Infrastructure ticker with one or two Ecosystem tickers on a four-week cycle:
Week 1: The AI Layer NVDA + PLTR. How AI hardware infrastructure and enterprise AI deployment are evolving. MARA on deck if GPU compute or pricing signals connect.
Week 2: The Distribution Layer GOOGL + MDB. How the browser platform and developer data infrastructure are shifting. COIN on deck if Web3 or developer platform signals surface.
Week 3: The Dev Environment Layer MSFT + SNOW. How development tools and enterprise data patterns are moving toward or away from open, local-first architecture. MSTR on deck if institutional technology investment signals connect.
Week 4: The Workflow and Community Layer ZM + PATH + MNDY. How workflow automation and collaboration infrastructure are consolidating or expanding.
After Week 4, the cycle restarts. All nine core tickers are covered every four weeks. Crypto Bridge tickers fold in when triggered, not on a fixed schedule.
Watchlist Updates
These watchlists are living documents. As the community's technology stack evolves and new tools, platforms, or dependencies emerge from daily calls and Discord conversations, tickers will be added, removed, or reorganized. Changes will be noted here when they occur.
